GIS-Supported Agricultural Operations

GIS-supported land information is used internally to support the planning, coordination, monitoring, and management of agricultural operations across the investment. This includes cultivation planning, soil and water conservation, rehabilitation activities, access management, and the development of agricultural infrastructure. The GIS information is maintained as an operational resource to help guide ongoing agricultural operations and long-term development of the agricultural investment.

Our Coffee Plantation

Our 6.6 acre agricultural investment, situated at elevations ranging from approximately 1,620 to 1,720 metres above sea level, comprises distinct agricultural, conservation, and access areas that contribute to the management and development of the investment. Approximately 4.97 acres consist of arable, well-managed coffee land with established soil cover. Within this area, approximately 1.05 acres of coffee are currently well pruned and well fed, while the remaining coffee acreage is maintained under existing soil-cover practices and awaits the next scheduled pruning season. The agricultural investment also includes approximately 0.74 acres designated as a Coffee Rehabilitation Area. This section currently has limited cultivation and is used primarily for gathering and other low-intensity activities. Subject to the outcome of relevant assessments and the absence of constraints affecting its rehabilitation, the area is proposed for gradual restoration and improved coffee cultivation. Approximately 1.46 acres comprise riverline land, with different sections serving complementary conservation purposes. One side is maintained with pasture cover, while another contains trees established to support soil conservation and stabilize the riverline environment. The remaining land includes both a minimum-use access road and a major-use access road, providing internal access to the agricultural investment and its different land-use areas. Water and soil management remain part of the agricultural investment's long-term development. A proposed waterbed system, intended to improve drainage and water management, is planned for completion in 2027 following delays to the original development schedule. Together, these features provide a structured basis for managing coffee production, soil conservation, riverline protection, access, and future agricultural rehabilitation while maintaining the productive capacity of the agricultural investment.
